What's the difference between In-Stock, Remakes, and Custom Sized Pads?

A "Remake" is a replica of a show pad that was previously in stock and is now out of stock. The sizes eligible for remakes are: 34x42, 34x40, and 34x38.

Any other size that would be needed is considered a "Custom Size" Pad.

All remakes and custom sized pads take about 6-8 weeks for production, as they are made to order. This is an estimate and is not a guaranteed time frame. In-stock pads are completed and ready to ship.

What size pad will fit my horse best?

This completely depends on how you and your horse are built. Common sizes for show pads are: 34x42, 34x40, and 34x38.

The "oversized" option: 34x42 is the most popular size that allows more of the pad to be seen. This size also comes in handy when you are pinning your numbers to the sides of your show pad to ensure you have adequate room for your numbers.

The first number displayed is your spine length. The standard spine length is 34'', unless you have a short backed horse or pony. Many work pads measure 32'' on their spine. The 34'' spine length on the show pad allows 1” on the front and back for the pad to cover up the work pad.

The second number is your drop length. If you have a smaller horse or a rider with short legs, we recommend the 34x40 or 34x38.

How do I order a pad in a custom size?

You can order your custom sized show pad by selecting the "CUSTOM SIZE'' Box under the desired pad. Please add in the notes during check out with what size you need made.

Please keep in mind we measure SPINExDROP, so when you are entering the size needed, please do so in this format to make sure you receive the size you intend for.

ORDERS

After I place my order, what's the next step?

Thanks for placing an order & supporting my small business, it doesn't go unappreciated! All you have to do is kick back, relax & wait for your order to come to you!

Once an order is placed, River Runs Show Pads will begin to process it. You will then receive an email with the order details along with shipping and tracking details as soon as it ships out.

In stock pads typically ship out within 1-4 business days of your order being placed. We are a small business and have a small team of me, myself, and I that does the shipping and packaging, design work, marketing, website design, bookkeeping, inventory tracking, social media, customer care, etc. along with a few very busy full-time jobs, so I do kindly ask for your patience if in the rare case of any delays.

With that being said I am very excited about your order and want you to receive your show pad ASAP!

I ordered a remake/custom sized pad & haven't received it yet?

Our remakes are a unique way we offer our customers to purchase pads they want that are not currently in stock. This also allows you to select and customize the size pad needed at NO extra charge. However, this does mean your pad will be made to order specifically for you and these orders are not ready to ship instantly.

Our pads are created with delicacy and care and do take time to be made. The current production time estimate for remakes and custom sized pad are 6-8 weeks. This is an estimate and is not a guaranteed time frame.

Once your order has arrived to us, we will immediately process your pad and prepare it for shipping. Once your pad is packaged and ready to mail out, we will update your tracking number to your order. You will receive an email with all the information.

Do you allow returns?

We allow returns on all in stock pads. Returns are NOT eligible on remakes or customs.

To be eligible for a return, your pad must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging, and you must have the receipt or proof of purchase. You have 14 calendar days to return the pad from the date it was delivered via the tracking number.

Please email us at riverrunsshowpads@yahoo.com to initiate a return. Once your return is approved, you will receive further instructions on how to send the item back to us.

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies. A 5% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. 

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non­refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.

I have an issue with my order.

If you have received a River Runs Show Pad with any damage or defects, please contact us right away. If we are NOT notified within three days of your order's delivery per tracking, it will no longer qualify for a return or replacement. You must include a photo of the defect or damage along with your email and phone number. Please email issues to RiverRunsShowPads@yahoo.com and title it as "Damage/Defected".

Exact colors of pads may vary depending on screen colors and lighting. If you have any questions, please confirm colors prior to ordering.

Show pad designs may vary from pad to pad. These are handmade and no two may be identical. Variations do not qualify as defects.

How should I clean my Show Pad?

To correctly and safely clean your River Runs Show Pad, we highly recommend spot cleaning or dry cleaning the pad.

You should never submerge your pad into water as the hand-dyed yarns can run, bleed or even fade.

When spot cleaning your pad you should use a gentle cleaner and a damp wash cloth and correctly work the stain by dabbing and not rubbing. Our pads are weaved with wool so be advised that it can and will snag if you are not careful.

Some wool came untucked. What should I do?

Don't be concerned, wool can sometimes come untucked from the weave. Take a pair of sharp scissors and hold them flat against your pad and snip at the base of the pad carefully by making sure not to cut any other connected threads. This will not compromise your show pad in any manner.

SHIPPING

Shipping costs to Canada?

Shipping costs to Canada depends on where you are located.

The cost of shipping and pad does not include customs or import duties which you may be required to pay when you accept items from your shipping carrier. If you refuse to accept shipping of your items and in the event they are returned to us, we may be required to pay additional charges to the carrier in respect of the cost including returns and import duties that were payable by you. We will look to recover these costs from you by deducting the relevant amount from any refund owed to you at that point.

Our website is not set up for orders outside the US at this time so to place an order to be shipped outside the US please message us and we will send over an invoice via Paypal.

Can I upgrade for faster shipping?

All of our show pads are shipped through UPS Ground, FedEx Ground or USPS. Typical shipping is 4-7 business days through our "Standard Shipping".

We do offer upgraded express shipping options: 2-Day shipping, which can be upgraded at checkout.
